NBC’s Community is back in business, debuting the show’s spring premiere last night.
It was very fulfilling – everything you’ve been missing about the show, and no high concept. Not to say I don’t love the high concept episodes, but there seem to have been a lot this season (the multiple timelines episode, the “Glee” parody), and it was nice just to get back to the study gang doing their thing. Also, it was a Shirley-centric episode, which there have been far too few of, and Britta got to do some hilarious stuff. I’m hoping that the writers continue to explore Britta’s secret desire to be the feminine, conformist woman she’s always fought against.
Anyway, I’m sorry to have been slacking this past week, I’ve been busy with work and just haven’t had time to catch up on any of my shows. This weekend I’ll get around to posting one of my Buffy entries and maybe finish up a comedy round up, including reviewing the new South Park premiere. See you then!!
